Welcome to HeyG. By using our app, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.
HeyG is an educational application that provides structured mathematics courses and an AI-powered tutor. The app offers both free and paid content across multiple course levels, from Arithmetic through Calculus and standardized test preparation.
An account is created automatically when you first open the app, identified by an anonymous device ID. No personal information is required. You may optionally link an email address for account recovery purposes.
Your account is personal and non-transferable. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your device and any credentials associated with your account.
HeyG is designed for users of all ages, including children under 13. The app does not require personal information to use and is designed to comply with COPPA.
If you are under 18, we encourage you to use the app with the knowledge and consent of a parent or guardian. Parents and guardians may contact us at any time regarding their child's use of the app.
By allowing a minor to use HeyG, a parent or guardian agrees to these Terms on the minor's behalf.
Each user may select one course to access for free, permanently. This selection cannot be changed once made. The free course includes a limited number of AI Tutor sessions.
Individual courses may be purchased for a one-time fee. A purchased course grants permanent access to that course's content. Prices are displayed in the app at the time of purchase and may vary by platform.
Course purchases are non-consumable. Once purchased, a course remains accessible to your account indefinitely.
The AI Tutor subscription provides unlimited AI tutoring sessions across all courses you have access to (free, purchased, or otherwise entitled).

Free trial periods, if offered, will convert to a paid subscription at the end of the trial unless canceled beforehand.
iOS purchases: All purchases made through the Apple App Store are subject to Apple's refund policies. To request a refund, visit reportaproblem.apple.com.
Android purchases: If you are unsatisfied with a course purchase, contact us at support@heyg.app within 14 days of purchase and we will process a refund. Subscription refunds are prorated from the date of the cancellation request.
The AI Tutor is designed to provide educational assistance with mathematics. While we strive for accuracy, the AI may occasionally produce errors in its explanations. The AI Tutor is a supplementary learning tool and does not replace instruction from a qualified teacher.
Users should verify important information and consult teachers, tutors, or other educational resources as appropriate.

All content in HeyG — including courses, questions, explanations, design, and the AI Tutor's responses — is owned by HeyG or its licensors and is protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. Your purchase of a course grants you a personal, non-transferable license to access that content within the app. It does not transfer ownership of the content itself.
We may update, modify, or discontinue features of the app at any time. We will make reasonable efforts to maintain access to courses you have purchased. If we permanently remove a purchased course, we will offer a replacement of comparable value or a refund.
HeyG is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not warrant that the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that it will meet your specific educational needs or goals.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, HeyG and its developers shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the app, including but not limited to loss of data, loss of educational progress, or reliance on AI-generated content.
Our total liability for any claim arising from your use of the app shall not exceed the amount you have paid to us in the 12 months preceding the claim.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to HeyG if you violate these Terms. In the event of termination for cause, you will not be entitled to a refund for any unused portion of a subscription or purchased course. If we terminate your account without cause, we will refund any unused subscription period.
We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you through the app. Your continued use of HeyG after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of California, United States, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any dispute arising from these Terms or your use of the app shall be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Los Angeles County, California.
